Working principle of spiral chute:
Set up the spiral chute, calibrate the vertical line, fix it in a proper position with iron frame or wood, send ore to two feed inlets on the top of the spiral by sand pump, add supplementary water, adjust the concentration of the ore paddle, and the ore paddle will naturally swirl from high to low, which will generate an inertial centrifugal force in the rotating inclined flow velocity. Based on the difference in the specific gravity, particle size and shape of ore, the ore and sand will be separated by the gravity and centrifugal force of the swirling flow, and the concentrate will flow into the pipeline for the concentrate bucket.
Structure of spiral chute:
Spiral chutes are composed of feeding homogenizer, cross (tripod), feeding trough, spiral trough, intercepting trough, gathering bucket and trough support.
Characteristics of spiral chute:
The spiral chute has the characteristics of reasonable structure, simple installation, small occupied area, simple operation, stable ore dressing, clear ore separation, large processing capacity, high efficiency, high ore dressing enrichment ratio, high recovery rate and reliable operation. It has the advantages of light weight, moisture-proof, rust-proof, corrosion-resistant, strong adaptability to fluctuations of ore feeding amount, concentration, granularity and grade, and no noise.
Spiral chute separation of gold is an old and still used gravity separation method. Chute is the main equipment for gold separation. The chute is a long and narrow wooden (or steel) chute with an inclination angle of 3 ~ 4 (not exceeding 14 ~ 16 at most). Gold industry can be manufactured locally. Separation principle: after ore pulp is fed into the chute from the trough head, under the combined action of water flow force, gravity (or centrifugal force) of ore particles, friction force between ore particles and trough bottom, ore particles with different densities are loosely layered and separated, and those with higher density become concentrate at the trough bottom, while those with lower density become tailings. Chute is an intermittent operation. When the concentrate at the bottom of the chute is deposited to a certain height, stop feeding ore and clear the concentrate.
Spiral chutes are divided into coarse sand chutes and slime chutes. The former is suitable for processing coarse-grained materials, while the latter is suitable for processing fine-grained materials.
